Dr. Dodson - Bridger ENT, an ear, nose and throat practice in Bozeman,

DR DODSON

Dr. Dodson started Bridger ENT in 2006 with 2 employees- himself and his wife, a L&D nurse, who was 7 months pregnant at the time. Two children and over 80,000 unique patient visits later, Dr. Dodson has maintained his commitment to patient care excellence and office efficiency while staying true to the humble roots of his practice origination.

Dr. Dodson is well-trained, experienced and board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology- the highest certification in otolaryngology.

After he obtained his MD from the University of Oklahoma-Health Science Center in 2001, he completed his otolaryngology residency in 2006 from the University of Colorado-Health Sciences Center (UCHSC).  His education at UCHSC included rotations at multiple level 1 trauma centers and nearly a year at Denver Children's Hospital, a regional center of excellence in tertiary pediatric ENT. Each year, he sees over 4,000 patients and performs nearly a 1,000 surgical procedures.

Dr. Dodson is the doctors' doctor.

Our patients appreciate the time Dr. Dodson takes to explain complex medical jargon in common, easy-to-understand language. He takes his time presenting all your treatment options so you can fully understand them. He enjoys engaging with pediatric patients to make them feel at ease and part of the conversation. Simply, he's just a nice guy.

Dr. Dodson is a student and educator.

Only the foolhardy would believe medical education ends at graduation- the old adage "the practice of medicine" hints at this concept.

Dr. Dodson continues to update and improve his knowledge base by frequently participating in educational conferences, medical online forums,  as well as participating in the American Board of Otolaryngology- Maintenance of Certification program.

Dr. Dodson is the only University of Washington (UW)- School of Medicine Clinical Instructor in Otolaryngology for southwest Montana. For more than a decade, he's committed his time to educating and improving our next generation of physicians. Dr. Dodson's association with UW allows him unlimited access to UW's extensive medical library which allows him to use the most current medical literature to implement best-practice, evidence-based medical treatments.

Dr. Dodson is an invited lecturer on ear, nose and throat topics in regional and national forums, while back at home, Dr. Dodson strives to educate his office staff, surgical center staff and his patients on new protocols, procedures, and medical care for optimal outcomes. .

Dr. Dodson is passionate about his family and fly fishing.

When he's not in the office or in the OR, you'll find Dr. Dodson outside. His forth love (after his wife and 2 kids) is saltwater fly fishing- for permit or tarpon- both are love/hate ;), although he'll throw to just about anything that will eat a fly. His goal is to get you back out there to continue your passion.
