We take for granted what our nose does every day- warms and humidifies, filters, helps us smell, but if you're sitting there, reading this, breathing through your mouth, well, you might just be missing out on the nose's most important job- airflow. Studies have shown poor nasal breathing is linked to poor sleep and snoring, gum and dental decay, and even bad breath! Fortunately, modern technology, such as nasal endoscopy (video camera for the nose) allows us to accurately identify where things are going wrong. Fixes can range from medical treatments to surgery, but, rest assured, Dr. Dodson is the expert--as a Fellow of the American Rhinologic Society, rhino = nose, he'll be able to get your nose back to doing what it does best!
